Today is the hardest day of this trek, as we have to cross the Ganjala Pass, which is 5130 m above sea level. And where we have to find our own trail because there is no proper one like in previous days. Today we walked only on the huge rock boulders, moraines, and some snowy and icy paths. This pass is so challenging, and sometimes in some technical sections, we have to fix the rope and slowly walk on the boulders and moraines, and some of the sections are icy and slippery. So we wake up early in the morning, and after breakfast, we will move slowly to the Ganjala pass, the trek going harder, and a couple of hours later we will be on the pass, and from there you can see the beautiful Helambu Valley and an amazing view of the mountain range, and Mt. Dorje Lakpa is just standing in front of our sight. After clicking some pictures, we moved down towards Yak Kharka. On this side also, the trail is the same; we will move down carefully, and a couple of hours later, we’ll reach the Yangri Kharka, where we will set up camp for an overnight stay.

Trekking to Dukpu is a bit far from Yangri Kharka. The trek goes through different fauna and flora and different landscapes. The trail still goes along the mountain range and downward. On the way to Dukpu, there is a place called Keldang Phu, which is also a yak kharka. There, you can also see many yak sheds. On summer days, people bring their yaks over there, and they stay there for a few months. Kledang Phu is a wide place, and it is also a good place for camping. After walking for 7–8 hours, we reached Dukpu. This place is a wide and very flat valley. And there is also the Guru Padmasambhava cave, where Guru Padmasambhava meditates. And now, every year, many lamas visit here for mediation. It is a sacred valley. In this place, you can also see many yak sheds, so this place is very good for camping.

During the trek in Langtang Valley, we provide guest houses with twin-sharing beds and three meals a day. Also, during trekking in Sermathang, Chyomothang, Dukpu, Yangri Kharka, Ganja La Base Camp, and High Camp, a dome tent will be shared by two people. When camping, our staff will set up tents for our clients throughout the journey. However, as per our company policy, there will be an additional fee for a single supplement if someone wants a single room or tent.

Food:
In Kathmandu breakfast is included, but lunch and dinner are not. After Kathmandu, the entire trekking period will include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two times (morning and evening) tea or coffee. Please let us know in advance if you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or lactose-free; we can make accommodations as you require.

Acclimatisation/Experience:
In the high Himalaya, it is necessary to let our bodies get used to the altitude. Our trip has acclimatisation days built into the itinerary. It is best to take it slowly to prevent altitude sickness. On average, expect to walk an average of 5–7 hours per day on trek.

Travel insurance:
Before undertaking the Ganja La Pass Trek, we highly advise purchasing Travel plus Search and Rescue Insurance. Although we do our best to look after you, unexpected things sometimes happen.
